The mailing asks people and organizations to send copies of their publications to both Zimbabwean liberation movements, ZANU and ZAPU. Members of these movements have indicated their need for current information and publications concerning Zimbabwe, Southern Africa politics, and U.S. and European developments affecting the struggle for Zimbabwe and its future development. An ACAS collective has initiated a "Zimbabwe Information Project" to regularly clip newspaper and journal articles to forward on a regular basis to ZAPU and ZANU offices in Lusaka and Maputo. The mailing argues that the least scholars in the U.S. and the West can do is make sure their materials are used by the Patriotic Front as well as the security agencies of the minority rule governments. It also says the U.S. government is not providing significant relief for Zimbabwean refugees in Mozambique, Botswana, and Zambia.
