Undated, about October 1988
Postcards produced for campaign to get Shell and Mobil to stop doing business in South Africa. The document describes the campaign and has two postcards to cut off and mail. The document says a coalition of religious, labor, civil rights, community and anti-apartheid organizations launched the campaign in 1985. After the religious institutions working through the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR) designated Shell and Mobil as "partners in apartheid," an expanding coalition launched the Shell boycott in January, 1986. The postcard to Frank H. Richardson, CEO of Shell Oil, has the logo STOP APARTHEID BOYCOTT SHELL; the postcard to Allen E. Murray, CEO of Mobil Oil, has the logo IMMobilize APARTHEID.
