Leaflet advertising an event, part of the Africa Peace Tour, at Harvill Auditorium at the University of Arizona on April 23. The panel will discuss U.S. support for the contras in both Angola and Nicaragua and the impact of war and militarization on the people there. Panelists will include Dorothy Thomas, Washington Office on Africa (WOA); Imani Countess, Coalition for a New Foreign and Economic Policy; Bill Rau, Bread for the World; Eugenie Aw, Senegalese journalist; and Betty Richardson, Oxfam America. Hormoz Bassiri of Tucsonans Against Apartheid will moderate the panel. Other local sponsors are the African Students Union, AFSC, the Hunger Action Center, WILPF (Women's International League for Peace and Freedom), and WREE (Women for Racial and Economic Equality). Members of the Africa Peace Committee are Africa Faith and Justice Network, American Committee on Africa, American Friends Service Committee-Southern Africa Program, Bread for the World, Church of the Brethren.
