Brochure issued as an appeal for funds for The Africa Fund’s Emergency Assistance Program that seeks to address the emergency needs of exiles. The brochure says in 1978 assistance went primarily to persons from South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe (Rhodesia). The brochure discusses an opponent of the white minority government, the security police in South Africa, a scholarship, families, the South African army in Namibia, South Africa’s occupation of Namibia, nation-building, the Black People’s Convention (BPC), the late Steve Biko, apartheid rule, the Soweto Uprising, killing, arresting, medicines and equipment, Zimbabwe refugees, and hospital equipment.
