Invitation to a Conference on American Policy Toward Africa
by American Committee on Africa
New York, New York, United States
Late 1960 or early 1961
Brochure advertising a conference that will explore new directions for U.S. policy toward Africa; a re-assessment of this policy is urgently needed. The brochure says that, at the recent session of the U.N. General Assembly, African states lost confidence in the U.S. as a country sincerely devoted to self-determination and independence for colonial territories because of its votes on Algeria, colonialism, Portuguese policy in Africa, and other questions.
Used by permission of Africa Action (successor to the American Committee on Africa).
