The Student Committee Against Racism (SCAR) was an anti-apartheid organization at the University of Vermont (UVM) that campaigned to get the UVM to divest from companies doing business in South Africa. SCAR, through petitioning, educational activities and rallies catalyzed debate among students, the faculty senate, the student senate and the Trustees.
