Poster with the text of The Freedom Charter adopted at the Congress of the People in Kliptown, Soweto on Sunday, June 26, 1955. The Charter became a core statement of principles for the Congress Alliance which included the African National Congress (ANC), the South African Indian Congress, the South African Congress of Democrats and the Coloured People's Congress. The date this poster was produced us unknow, most likely in the early 1980s. Size: 22 5/8 in x 15 13/16 inches.
