This button was most likely produced by the Gulf Boycott Coalition (it matches a written description on one of their publications). In 1970 the Ohio Conference of the United Church of Christ passed a resolution calling for the boycott of Gulf Oil Corporation because of its exploitation of oil in Angola, then a colony of Portugal. In 1971 the Congregation for Reconciliation in Dayton, Ohio formed the Gulf Boycott Coalition. A number of other organizations participated in the campaign against Gulf. Size: 1-1/4 inches across.
Used by permission of the Congregation for Reconciliation.
