Danny Schechter at the funeral of Chief Albert Luthuli. Schechter, who was studying at the London School of Economics, was one of a number people, known as the London Recruits, who went to South Africa for the African National Congress (ANC). Schechter had travelled to South Africa as a tourist but smuggled in leaflets produced by the ANC and mailed them to addresses he had been given before going to the funeral. This item was digitized by Tony Sutton who provided it to the African Activist Archive.
