Members of a delegation of observers to the Rhodesian General Election of 1980 met up in London for series of briefing before going to Rhodesia. The delegation included (from left) Dr. Robert Edgar of Howard University's African Studies Center, Dr. Tilden LeMelle and George M. Houser representing the American Committee on Africa (ACOA) and Cynthia Cannady (second from right) representing TransAfrica and the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People). Not shown is Edgar Lockwood who may have taken this photograph. The delegation was in Rhodesia from February 14 to March 1.
