Three people speaking in support of the campaign to pull funds from Riggs National Bank in Washington, D.C. because of its support for the apartheid government in South Africa and the Chilean junta. The woman in the center is Lynn Shapiro, who had been involved in Chilean solidarity work for many years. The man at the right of the photo is Michael Moffitt, who also was engaged in solidarity work on Chile. His wife, Ronni Karpen Moffitt, was killed along with former Chilean diplomat Orlando Letelier on September 21, 1976 by a bomb planted in Letelier's car in Washington, D.C. on order of Pinochet's police. Michael Moffitt was also in the car when the bomb exploded, but he was thrown from the back seat and survived.
