Edgar (Ted) Lockwood was Director of the Washington Office on Africa from 1972 to 1980. He is seated at his desk in the organization's office in the Methodist Building across from the U.S. Capitol and Senate Office buildings. The poster on the wall, of the poem "Farewell at the Hour of Parting," appears on the African Activist Archive website.
