A rally of more than 250 students outside the entrance of the Furness Library (now the Anne and Jerome Fisher Fine Arts Library) to pressure the University of Pennsylvania Board of Trustees (who were meeting inside) to divest from companies in South Africa. David Richardson, a Pennsylvania State Representative, spoke at the rally. This rally ended an around-the-clock vigil begun on Wednesday at College Hall by the Penn Anti-Apartheid Committee.
