By the mid-1970s the Anti-Apartheids Beweging Nederland (AABN) adopted a more professional approach to the use of posters. In the early years most material had been designed by the AABN's only paid staff member, Conny Braam, often in simple black-and-white print with one supporting color at the most and stuffed with informative texts. The organization later on could count on well-known, professional designers. This poster from 1976 was among the first bright multi-color posters produced by the AABN. Its aim was to advertise just one thing: the organization itself and, of course, its postal giro account number. Design: Willem Vleeschouwer. This item was digitized by the International Institute of Social History in the Netherlands, which made it available to the African Activist Archive.
