The poster shown was produced by Stop Apartheid Rugby Tour (START) coalition. START was formed to stop a tour of the United States by the Springboks, South Africa's national rugby team. The American Coordinating Committee for Equality in Sport and Society (ACCESS) was active in organizing SART. This photograph was published in the New York Guardian with the article "Proposed South Africa rugby tour arouses protest: Anti-apartheid movement revives" on August 19, 1981.
