Demonstration outside the Portuguese consulate in New York in January 1974 to commemorate the memory of Amilcar Cabral, the Secretary General of the PAIGC. Cabral was assassinated on January 20, 1973. The PAIGC led the struggle for independence in Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde against Portuguese colonialism.
