The press release says Pacem in Terris is co-sponsoring the March 30th Conference on South Africa in Wilmington, because they believe it is time to build a broad movement in Delaware to work for the end of Apartheid in South Africa. Pacem in Terris abhors the racism and militarism of the Apartheid regime in South Africa. For this reason, Pacem in Terris seeks to educate people in Delaware on the evils of Apartheid and how our government and U.S. corporations are presently supporting the Apartheid regime in South Africa. Pacem in Terris believes that the Reagan administration's policy of "constructive engagement" and the increasing role of U. S. corporations in South Africa's economy only serve to prop up the existing Apartheid regime.
