List of divestment action on South Africa by U.S. and Canadian colleges and universities, including school name, amount affected, and year. The report also includes Guidelines for Divestment adopted in January 1987 by five national anti-apartheid organizations: American Committee on Africa, American Friends Service Committee, Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility, TransAfrica, Washington Office on Africa. The report says the Guidelines were adopted as a result of a number of companies - such as IBM, General Motors and Coca Cola - ending their ownership in South Africa but continuing to do business there.
