This mailing notes that on Thursday, June 28th, the House passed by a surprisingly large margin the compromise measure on Rhodesian sanctions proposed by the Foreign Affairs Committee. The mailing notes the key vote came when the House turned downs an amendment proposed by Congressman William Broomfield which would have terminated the sanctions against Rhodesia on December 1.
