March 16 - 21 will be a National Week of Action for the Campaign to Oppose Bank Loans to South Africa. A letter accompanying the newsletter indicates that banks are currently re-evaluating their policies of making loans to South Africa, so this is the time to increase the pressure. An appeal is made for both contributions of money and time for the Campaign. Contents: Major California banks making loans to South Africa • Remember alternatives (which don’t lend to South Africa and have reasonable community records) • Resources • The South Africa Nuclear Connection • $top Banking on Apartheid proudly announces: Our Town Out of South Africa- How to Gain Public Control of Public Monies • $top Banking on Apartheid • 1979 • 1980 • Greetings
