The mailing says Rev. Alan Boesak will likely be present and offer remarks at the event on October 22. Boesak is a principal leader of the anti-apartheid forces in South Africa, head of the Reformed Churches, and a founder of the United Democratic Front (UDF) and Mass Democratic Movement MDM). Chapter members are welcome to attend the Board meeting on the first Wednesday of each month at the Harriet Tubman House. The mailing mentions the "TransAfrica Report" monthly column in the Bay State Banner. A forum is being planned about the Namibian elections, with a speaker from SWAPO, sometime in late November or early December. The Legislative Watch bulletin will come shortly, which will be followed by a call from the Action Alert system.
