Several events during June 3-5, 1993 will be held at the New TransAfrica Forum Building: Dedication/ Reception, Open House, and meetings of the Scholars Council and TransAfrica/TransAfrica Forum Board. Annual Membership Conversation and Annual Benefit Dinner will be at the Washington Hilton Hotel. The Foreign Policy Conference, with speakers George Moose and Jesse Jackson, will be held at the Dirksen Senate Conference Auditorium, and  Smithsonian Cultural Exhibit will be at the National Museum of African Art. At the dinner, the MCs are Alfre Woodard and Blair Underwood, the speaker is Commerce Secretary Ron Brown, and honorees are Goler Teal Butcher  (African Freedom Award), Bryant Gumbel (International Journalism Award), supermodel/activist Iman (International Humanitarian Award), and former President of Jamaica Michael Manley (Distinguished Statesman Award).
