The leaflet explains why Bishop Abel Muzorewa should be seen as a puppet for the white supremacist Ian Smith regime. He was elected in an illegitimate election, and the Muzorewa/Smith government does not represent the people of Zimbabwe. Members of the U.S. government have invited him for a visit, as they hosted Ian Smith, while the rest of the world has condemned the phony elections. The leaflet says Zimbabwe African National Union (ZANU) truly represents the Zimbabwean people. Muzorewa has unleashed bombing raids against the Zimbabwean people as his first act of power. He has already held major summit meetings with South Africa so that they can form a joint defense against the wars for national liberation being waged in Zimbabwe, Namibia and Azania (South Africa).  The people have chosen their leaders through their mobilization to armed struggle under the leadership of ZANU and the Patriotic Front. The Zimbabwean people have liberated 60% of their country and are challenging the Muzorewa/Smith regime in the few remaining cities under their control. The leaflet says the U.S., Britain and South Africa are the mainstays of' the puppet regime. The leaflet asks people to urge members of Congress to maintain sanctions and to contribute clothing, medical supplies, and money to ZANU.
