The document says Charlene Snelling is a member of the American Federation of Teachers, Local 4100, the University Professionals of Illinois; she is an Instructor in the Department of Library and Learning Resources at Chicago State University, and has a degree in African Literature and Language from the University of Wisconsin.; Charlene is Local 4100's representative to the steering committee of the Illinois Labor Network Against Apartheid; the Network is a coalition of unions that builds solidarity between unions here and in South Africa, and between workers in related industries and with common employers; Charlene will speak on South Africa and the importance of international union solidarity.
