Generic invitation (with space for details to be added) to an evening with women doing support work for Black women's cooperatives in South Africa, for which donations will be requested. The invitation is from Stop Banking on Apartheid (SBOA, $top Banking on Apartheid) and the South African Women’s Fund (SAWF). The event will include a slide show about the history of South African women's resistance to political and economic oppression. The invitation describes the two sponsoring organizations.  SAWF, an organization of women, offers political education about the Black women's resistance movements in South Africa; it focuses on the struggles of Black women to draw attention to the sexual and racial oppression of the apartheid system. The invitation says banks making loans to the South African white minority regime have been targeted internationally for a withdrawal campaign by religious, labor, civic, and community organizations. This campaign responds to requests from the Black majority in South Africa to stop foreign investment until apartheid ends.
