Nesbitt is an African-American civil rights activist, a consultant for the People's Republic of Mozambique, and a previous Associate Director of the American Committee on Africa (ACOA). The leaflet includes an excerpt from "Apartheid in Our Living Rooms” by Nesbitt. Co-sponsors are Mozambique Health Committee, Church Council of Greater Seattle: Southern Africa Task Force, American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), Shell Boycott Campaign, UW Students Against Apartheid, and Seattle Nonviolent Action Group.
