Brochure advertising a Special Issues Seminar for Citizen Lobbyists at Georgetown University on April 21, 1985, a cultural and education event on Southern Africa that evening, and a lobbying day on Capitol Hill on April 22, 1975. The brochure discusses conditions in South Africa, where repression and violence are growing.  The United States continues to support the apartheid regime through its failed policy of "constructive engagement.” As the Reagan Administration enters its second term, the strongest-ever package of anti-apartheid legislation is pending before Congress, and action is needed. The brochure discusses Nobel Prize Winner Desmond Tutu, and state delegations. [Note: This brochure was included in a mailing of the Washington Office on Africa dated March 1985.]
