Mailing advertising a speech by Bishop Antonio Fortich, retired bishop of Bacolod, Negros, on December 10 at St. Theresa's Co-Cathedral.  Former Bishop of Bacolod, Negros, Bishop Antonio Fortich, will be the featured speaker at an ecumenical service and reception. The mailing says Monsignor Victorino Rivas is accompanying Bishop Fortich from the Philippines; the Monsignor is the current Vicar General of the Bacolod Diocese.  The mailing says the program will also feature short reflections on the situation in South Africa, South Korea, Central America, the Philippines, Hawaii, and on the rights of children. The  event commemorates the International Declaration of Human Rights. The event is sponsored by the Hawaii Church Committee for Human Rights in the Philippines; the Roman Catholic Diocese of Honolulu; the United Church of Christ, Hawaii Conference; the United Methodist Church, Hawaii District; the Hawaii Council of Churches; the Hawaii Committee for Africa; the United Nations Association of Hawaii; and Lacasa.
