Leaflet advertising an event at the United Church of Christ on November 18 with an African meal, speaker Sharfudine Khan, the movie “A Luta Continua,” music, and discussion. The leaflet says Guinea Bissau declared independence from Portugal on September 24 by a 120-person National People's Assembly meeting in Guinea. The leaflet says Sharfudine Khan, representative to the United Nations for FRELIMO (Mozambique Liberation Front), will speak about the significance of the declaration of independence by P.A.I.G.C. to other independence movements in the Portuguese colonies. Sponsors include the Southern Africa Support Committee and the Black American Law Students Association. The leaflet mentions a decade of guerrilla warfare, the African Party for the Independence of Guinea (PAIGC), and liberated areas.
