The leaflet publicizes the Board of Regents (BOR) meeting on divestment, noting that the November 7 meeting was only the Finance Committee recommending in favor of divestment, without a date certain. Also, the Finance Committee disregarded the hearing they were to hold, and the scheduled speakers and a Black South African were not allowed to speak. Five non-scheduled speakers from outside the University community where allowed to speak. The Coalition for Divestment gave two demands to the Regents: 1. Complete divestment before January 28, 1987; and 2. Full and total divestment from all South Africa linked companies like Coca Cola, IBM, GM, etc., which claim to be pulling out of South Africa but which, in reality, continue to support Apartheid and profit from it by supplying their products to the white South African regime.
