The leaflet says the objective of the Anti-Apartheid BRACELET Campaign is to enable individuals to make a statement of solidarity with the political prisoners of South Africa’s apartheid regime by wearing a bracelet with the name of one political prisoner. The leaflet says solidarity can be expressed as an individual or as a group (church, union local, civic group, etc.). The leaflet also suggests offering direct support by writing the political prisoner or his/her family, publicize information about the oppression in South Africa. Proceeds from sale of bracelets assist families of political prisoners. The leaflet says the bracelets will be produced by the UNITED AUTO WORKERS in New York.
