This letter explains that the curriculum "Strangers In Their Own Country: A Curriculum Guide On South Africa" was purchased for each global studies teacher in the school district and urges that they be distributed. The letter notes that the annual nationwide "South Africa Weeks" will take place March 21-April 5 and encourages the superintendent to encourage teachers to use the curriculum and participate in “South Africa Weeks.” Bill Bigelow, author of the curriculum and a teacher at Jefferson, has recently returned from South Africa and is available to talk with teachers.
