Memorandum to Model U.N. delegates critiquing comments by Mr. de Swardt about the meaning of apartheid for black South Africans and the role of U.S. corporations. The memorandum says virtually every South African anti-apartheid organization has called for corporate withdrawal, even though doing so is classified as a terrorist offense. Steve Biko, the Organization of African Unity (OAU), the Congressional Black Caucus, the NAACP, the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions, the World Council of Churches (WCC), and the United Nations General Assembly have all called for withdrawal.
