Mailing says TIAA-CREF recently publicized a new investment policy concerning South Africa. TIAA-CREF has never before dealt with the kind of outside pressure the divestment campaign has created. The next main efforts will be on trustee lobbying and faculty/ professional association resolutions and petition drives. The mailing says the campaign is organizing Its second demonstration on November 20 outside the TIAA-CREF building (730 Third Avenue, New York). The mailing discusses the Botha regime, socially responsible policies, withdrawal of U.S. corporations from South Africa, and apartheid.
