Copy of a letter to Claire Sheahan of TIAA and CREF from the chair of the TIAA-CREF Divestment Campaign requesting information on decisions made at the November 20, 1986 trustee meeting concerning TIAA-CREF’s continued support of the South African regime through investments in companies doing business there. The letter says although the TIAA-CREF Divestment Campaign is encouraged by recent corporate actions regarding South Africa, our position is that more has to be done. The letter discusses IBM (International Business Machines), GM (General Motors), licensing, and franchising.
