The minutes report on the final plenary session, in which suggestions were made for how to build the campaign for state and municipal divestment legislation. Some recommendations came from workshops, while others came from individuals. The minutes do not include workshop reports that only summarized presentations that were made. The minutes say a resolution endorsing the state and municipal legislative divestment campaign was unanimously adopted by conference participants; its adoption was moved by Rep. Dyson of Connecticut and seconded by Rep. Price of Texas. People mentioned in the minutes include Tim Smith, Tina Simcich, John Harrington, Ann Beaudry, Melba Smith, Carole Collins, Randy Barber, Miloanne Hecathorn, Maryamu Eltayeb, and Virgil Smith. The minutes discuss the National Conference of State Legislatures, the National Black Caucus of State Legislators, Citicorp, Anglo-American Corporation, Minorco, the AFL-CIO, the National Governors' Association, the Corporate Data Center, pension funds, bank loans to South Africa, unions, and public employees.
