The mailing says the Connecticut Anti-Apartheid Committee will organize support for the divestment legislation vetoed last year by Governor O'Neill. The mailing says the legislators who support this legislation in the past likely will be pressured by corporations to switch their stand, and the South African government has indicated that it will send a representative to Connecticut in January to lobby against the bill. The Connecticut Anti-Apartheid Committee is asking prominent community, labor and church organizations, as well as some individuals, to add their names to a letter. [Note: A letter similar to that referred to in this document is available on this website.]
