The mailing says the Supreme Council for Sport in Africa, which represents all amateur athletes in Africa, has called for action against New Zealand as the principal supporter of South African racism in sport. The mailing also reports that the Supreme Council has asked all African athletes to withdraw from any event in which representatives of New Zealand are participating - both at the Montreal Olympic Games and at all other sport events - until New Zealand changes its policy on sport with South Africa. The mailing says the South African Non-Racial Olympic Committee (SAN-ROC) supports the stand of the Supreme Council and that it asks all sportsman and sportswoman to support this stand, particularly at the Olympics, and not participate in events where New Zealanders are competing.
