The newsletter is a report from Bishop James Kauluma, Bishop Suffragan of Damarland. It includes a photograph of the consecration of Kauluma with Bishop Edward Knapp Fisher, Bishop-in-exile Colin Winter, Bishop James Kauluma, Suffragan Bishop-in-exile Richard Wood, and Jackson Kaujewa. The newsletter says that fear and concern for safety have not deterred the people from continuing the struggle for independence. Despite the patrolled border, many people still are leaving the country to join SWAPO, which continues to increase its large following and popularity. South Africa’s refusal to withdraw from Namibia is the cause of the war that is costing innocent lives. Kauluma says that he recently received news that the South African Security Branch searched both the diocesan office and the Bishop's House in Windhoek. • REPORT FROM BISHOP JAMES KAULUMA • VISIT TO THE DIOCESE • TENSION AND EFFECT OF THE SOUTH AFRICAN ARMY PRESENCE • DIOCESAN NEEDS • St. Mary's Mission • The Diocesan Play School • St. George's Diocesan School • The Diocesan headquarters • Theological education • Legal Services • Bishop's vehicle
