The press release announces that the African Students' Association (ASA) of Oregon State University (OSU) have written to OSU President Robert MacVica protesting the proposed August 24 – October 4 visit of the OSU wrestling team to South Africa. The letter says that the visit could lead the PAC-10 universities to take action against OSU. The press release quotes Winnie Tay, President of ASA. The release says the ASA also wrote to wrestling team members informing them of the international sports boycott of South Africa and of the strong possibility that individuals, teams, and institutions that ignore the boycott will be blacklisted, barring them from future international competition.
