This is a fundraising leaflet to respond to the needs of starving people and to help stop hunger in Mozambique, where widespread war and economic destabilization resulting from persistent terrorist raids have forced farm families and villages to flee to neighboring countries. The leaflet says that, of those who remain in Mozambique, 4.5 million now face starvation - the worst famine situation in the world. Church World Service is responding with cash and material assistance, working through partner Christian agencies in Mozambique, Malawi, Zimbabwe and South Africa. Food, clothing, blankets, tents, medical supplies, and clear water to avert outbreaks of intestinal disease are critically needed. [Note: CROP was an acronym for the Christian Rural Overseas Program.]
