Statement by American athletes supporting a boycott of the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City. The athletes say they join in supporting the boycott because segregation and discrimination in South African sports have not been changed, the International Olympic Committee's acceptance of South Afric despite continuing racism in South African sports violates the Olympic Charter, and the boycott by the Supreme Council for Sport in Africa (representing 32 nations) and other nations deserves full support from all American athletes.
