The mailing reports on a meeting of the Coalition for the Liberation of Southern Africa about a proposal by the Philadelphia Coalition to Stop Rhodesian and South African Imports. The mailing says the meeting agreed to propose a national call for local demonstrations in opposition to racist polices of both Carter and Ford wherever they, their running mates, or their representatives (e.g. Kissinger) come to our cities. Local organizations are to initiate action in their own communities. The mailing proposed that the Washington Office on Africa act as a center for national communications. The mailing also discusses resources and political context. [Note on date: The meeting was apparently held on August 21. See National Coalition for the Liberation of Southern Africa mailing dated August 18.]
