The report describes the focus of a summer research project aimed at developing strategies and proposals for action. Four major topics were covered: 1) Banking and General Economy 2) Auto and Rubber industry 3) Natural Resources-Mining, Oil, Strategic Materials, etc. and 4) US government involvement. The report discusses U.S. banks (Chase Manhattan and First National City), the role played by U.S. car assemblers and manufacturers (Chrysler, Ford, and GM [General Motors], the rubber industry (Firestone, Goodyear, General Tire and Rubber), and Engelhard.
